Corpus boundary — Adler v1

Fixed before extraction, per the philosopher-KB recipe.

  • Understanding Human Nature (Menschenkenntnis, 1927; Wolfe English
    translation, PROOF WORK) — the entire evidence pool
    (sources/understanding_human_nature_wolfe_dli126777.txt). Adler's 1927
    Vienna lectures for a lay audience: the single most systematic popular
    statement of Individual Psychology in one PD volume.

Included as term arbiter only (no evidence blockquotes)

  • Menschenkenntnis German first edition (1927) — arbiter for canonical
    German terms (Minderwertigkeitsgefühl, Geltungsstreben, Gemeinschaftsgefühl,
    Lebensstil). Not ingested as an evidence pool.

Excluded

  • Adler's other works: The Neurotic Constitution (1912), The Practice and
    Theory of Individual Psychology     (1924), What Life Should Mean to You
    (1931), Social Interest (1933) — PD but not yet fetched; different
    translators, separate boundary needed.
  • The technical clinical papers and case compilations.
  • Secondary literature and later Adlerian-school elaborations
    (Dreikurs, Ansbacher & Ansbacher). The Ansbacher systematization is the
    standard modern map of Adler's terms but is not PD and not evidence here.
  • Internet quote collections / motivational "Adler quotes" without an edition
    trace.

Terms present as phenomena but NOT verbatim in this translation

Two Adlerian technical terms do not occur as literal strings in the Wolfe
translation, though the phenomena are fully described:

  • "inferiority complex" — Wolfe writes "inferiority complex" once
    (in quotes, sources line ~2992), so the phrase IS attestable; but Adler's
    systematic distinction inferiority feeling vs inferiority complex is drawn
    in later works. Here the book speaks overwhelmingly of the feeling of
    inferiority. The concept note marks this.
  • "masculine protest" (männlicher Protest) — 0 occurrences. The book
    describes the phenomenon exhaustively as "masculine domination", "the duty
    to be masculine", and the child's protest against a feminine role, but never
    under the term. Handled like an out-of-corpus term: concept page exists with
    evidence: term_not_in_ingested_corpus, no quote is attributed to the term
    itself.

Reason

One clean PD proof work with one translator gives a stable, single-pool
evidence base with zero translator-blending. Adler's terminology drifted across
his career and across translators; pinning v1 to Menschenkenntnis/Wolfe keeps
every quote checkable against one file.
